Well, we made it, like thousands of other scouts (roughly 20 thousand a year, some 700 thousand to date). Up and over the tooth of time. We ran a little short of water and our moods soured a bit at the end.
Probably because the adventure was coming to a close.

Crew 566 and friends peer over the edge of the tooth.

The crew wanted me to get a picture of all of them and the Tooth... so I ran around and down a bit to get this shot of all of them...
Then they said that no one could see their faces... so, I came all the way back to get the pictures below...

By the end of the trip, the Minnesota crew could tolerate us pretty well. We had made the same journey at the same time and shared many of the good and, er, not so good times. Our adventure was beautiful, and (sadly) nearly complete.
We celebrated.

Great rock shot after leaving the Tooth. There were many formations that caused one to want to stop and gawk... and take pictures... but the crew soldiered on and I was sweeper after all...
dcp_1430.jpg (379578 bytes) Crew 566. We made it. Whole. Tired. Thirsty (don't skimp on the water that you will need coming DOWN the Tooth in the hot sun).

What an experience!

When's next time??
